Volunteer Coach
Thank you for your interest in learning more about our Girls on the Run (GOTR) volunteer coach opportunities.
General Information:
- The program is offered twice a year: Fall (Sept – Dec) and Spring (Feb – May)
- Each program (team) has a head coach (females only) and one to two assistant or junior coaches
Requirements for Volunteering:
- Genuine interest in leading a healthy life
- Interest in physical fitness or running
- Commitment to the mission of Girls on the Run
- Reliable, honest and positive outlook on life
- Interest in the issues facing girls today
- Desire to get involved in a nonprofit organization and help create awareness
- 10 week commitment each season
CPR & First Aid Certification:
GOTR Head Coaches and Co-Coaches are required to be Adult CPR & Basic First Aid certified; Assistant Coaches-this an optional requirement.
